In his free time Doctor Silin enjoys camping with his wife and three children, coaching chess, and working on home improvement projects.

Doctor Silin received a B.A. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1985. He then attended Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, earning his medical degree and honors in Diagnostic Radiology in 1990. He received the Diagnostic Radiology Award at graduation.
Doctor Silin then moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he completed his Internship at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. This was followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in Massachusetts, at The Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, where he served as chief resident in 1994. In 1995, Doctor Silin joined Yale University Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut as an Instructor in Radiology, where he completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in 1996.
Doctor Silin worked as a Staff Radiologist at the Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana from 1996 to 2006, where he was Director of Interventional Radiology. He also served as a Staff Radiologist for both Blackford Community Hospital in Hartford City and Jay County Hospital in Portland Indiana from 2003 to 2006.
Doctor Silin joined Hospital of St Raphael as a Staff Radiologist in 2005. He was certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1991, certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology 1996 and received a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology 1997.
Doctor Silin has a special interest in renal artery disease, dialysis access, and uterine fibroid embolization.

Doctor Silin is a member of Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Radiology Society of North America and American College of Radiology. He is a founding member of the Connecticut EndoVascular, which was established in 2005. The Group currently operates at the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut.
