In her free time Ms Hedges enjoys working out, practicing karate, watching soccer and football and travelling to tropical destinations.


Melinda Hedges received a B.A. from King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, New York in 1984. She then attended Yale University School of Medicine, earning her physician associate certificate in 1989.

Melinda Hedges worked as a Physcian Associate in the Emergency Medicine at the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut from 1989 to 2002. She also served as a Clinical Coordinator of Physician Assistant Students from 1992 to 2002 at the Hospital of St Raphael and an Emergency Medicine Guest Lecturer from 1997 to 2002 at the Yale University School of Medicine. In 2002, Ms Hedges was a Medical-Legal Consultant at the St Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut and since 2002 she serves as a Physician Associate in Interventional Radiology for New Haven Radiology Associates at the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven. She is also acting as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut since 1995.






Melinda Hedges is ceritified from the National Commission on Certification of Pysician Assistants and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants, First Nations Council of Physician Assistants, Society of Interventional Radiology and the American College of Phebology.
