Image Guided Biopsies of All Organ Systems

Only a few years ago most biopsies required a surgical operation. Today, internal images of the body taken with medical equipment such as ultrasound, CT and fluoroscopy can guide needles in a minimally invasive fashion to obtain biopsies under local anesthesia. This procedure provides rapid recovery and minimal risk. The procedure takes about half an hour in most cases. After a short observation period patients are free to go home.
